Mandara New Testament Dedication

It was a great joy to participate in the Mandara New Testament Dedictation. Here are just a few pictures from the big day. To everyone's surprise, I even sang a solo, My Tribute. It was a day to celebrate the Glory of God being displayed through the Mandara speakers receiving the Word of God. That is just why were are here in Papua New Guinea

Life in the Village

Here is Kevin and Gertrude as they arrived in the village where they will spend five weeks. It was a little disconcerting for Kevin as we were dropped off. I were pretty isolated, but to our surprise we had cell phone service. The time past quickly with language learning and all the other activities we were involved in. The best part was being made part of the family there in the village. Everyone took such good care of us.

Kagayanen New Testament Dedication

Gertrude and Kevin was able to lead a group the Philippines for the Celebration of the Kagayanen New Testament. I was an exciting time to share with Jacqueline Huggins who was the first African American to help in the translation of a New Testament. Pictured here are the three translators (Louise Macgregor, Jacqueline Huggins and Carol Pebley.

Kevin's Family Reunion

For the first time, my mother and her sisters planned for a family reunion in Richmond, VA. There were cousins there I have not seen in many years. Others that I met for the first time. Here are just a few of the pictures that I took of the event.

Gertrude's Family

Gertrude's family had gathered together in Longview, TX, for her uncle's home going. Here are a few pictures at her parents home.
